How does the
examination proceed?
Removal of Deposits
This is performed using ultrasound, which, thanks to its high-frequency waves, disrupts the structure of dental tartar. Currently, this instrumental removal of tartar is the fastest and most effective method when combined with mechanical finishing.
Air Polishing (Airflow)
It removes plaque and, especially, dark to black discolorations from smokers, coffee drinkers, or tea drinkers. The advantage of air polishing is that it removes plaque and pigments even from hard-to-reach areas, making it very suitable for orthodontic patients. Often, air polishing also results in teeth becoming several shades lighter.
Care
Our dental hygienist Zuzka will also recommend suitable tools for your oral care and instruct you on the correct technique for using them. We often find that tools are used, but incorrectly, which ultimately makes them ineffective.
